Program
Development
Below we have
detailed the preliminary steps involved in organizing a group program.
Ideally one would begin these steps between 6 and 18 months before the
group plans to travel. |
|
Request
Information
The first step, as with any
other project, is to request information so that you can read and
study your options. At Escuela Internacional we have several sources
of information available to universities and schools that include:
Group Coordinator - Our
group coordinator will be glad to inform you by email or telephone
about the services available to groups, send you any materials that
you might need, as well as provide you with sample and customized
price quotes.
Manual for Universities and Schools - This manual includes a
detailed syllabus of our courses as well as information about the
history of Escuela Internacional, the quality of E.I. programs, our
centers in Spain and Latin America, the courses and accommodations that
we offer, extra services, maps and much more...
University and School Materials Web Page and CD - This web page and
CD include all of the materials available to Universities and Schools
in one place, your computer. View our promotional video, take a look
at our photo album, review our manuals and brochures in pdf format or
contact us with your questions.
If you would like to
receive an informational package about Escuela Internacional please

online
materials request form or contact us by email at groups@escuelai.com

Request
Preliminary Price Quote
Once you've had a chance
to take a look at the services that are available you need to request
a personalized price quote that includes the course, type of
accommodations and any other services that your group may require such
as 1 day, weekend or longer excursions, cultural activities,
transportation services, hotel reservations etc...
You can find sample price quotes

Site
Visit (if
required)
For some universities
and schools a visit to the school you are interested in
sending students too may be necessary before the plans for a group
program can be taken any farther. In this case, we will be glad to
receive a representative from your school or university. A site visit
can include: a tour of the school(s) and their facilities, a review of
the books and materials that we use in the classroom, meeting with the
director and staff, a visit to one or more host families, a tour of
the city, its sites and monuments and more...
|
Fix
Program Details
Once you have reviewed
your personalized price quote and made a visit to the school (if
required) it's time to start to fix the details of the language
program that you are organizing. If you've requested price quotes for
multiple locations or with more than one type of course or
accommodations, this is the time to decide which services you are
going to select. Contact your group coordinator so that he or she can
finalize the price quote for you.
|
Program
Approval
At this point you should
have information and references about the school or destination, you
should have one or more price quotes of which you've selected one of
them for your program and you've made a site visit.
Since in most
cases, any activities, excursions or special programs that take place
outside of the normal school or university schedule need to be
approved by the school's or university's administrators, this is the
perfect moment to have your group plans approved.
|
Marketing
Plans (if required)
You have a price, a
preliminary itinerary, and approval from the administration, now you
need students.
In some cases it may be enough to visit the Spanish classes and
announce that you are forming a group to go to Spain. In others it may
be necessary to create an informational flyer, a small web page,
posters or more.
We invite you to discuss your marketing plans with us so that we can
offer you tips or help when necessary or needed.
Student
Interest Meeting
Now that you have a
group of interested individuals, you need to hold an informational
meeting where you can explain where the group will go, what kind of
course the students will be attending, the type of accommodations
available and any extra services that may be included such as
excursions, medical insurance, cultural/social activities etc...
